I lent my signed copy of Satnam Sanghera's If You Don't Know Me By Now to someone and I'd really like it back, please.  Could you just check your bookshelves to see if it's lying there, forgotten?

I have put some photos of the snowdrops at Attingham Park into the gallery under the heading of "Spring 2010"  This can be found under the heading of Digital Camera Group

Hello Jim,

i can confirm the comments by Gwynneth and Geoff that you can have more than one browser installed and have the choice of which you use.  I have recently been using Google Chrome as well and it it seems user friendly once you have sorted how it does things. I find its main advantage is that it is much quicker in finding sites than either Internet Explorer or Firefox.  I now have three browsers installed and there is no interference.

I would love a talk on the history of photography. I also went to the 'Sense of Place' exhibition at the British Library and found it fascinating. Most of the techniques in Photoshop-type programs today found their origins in the darkroom.

I saw an advert from the Which organisation offering their new free "Easy use PCGUIDE". Having found other guides helpful, I sent for a copy. It arrived this morning.
The down side - they always ring and try to persuade me to join and receive their monthly mag which some find pushy.
The up side - the guides I have received, always free, have proved helpful.
Fellow members may find this helpful.  Contact Which on 0800 920185 and ask for their advertised free copy of "Easy use PC GUIDE".  The  simple, everyday language suits me.
Bon chance.

Another lovely short trip out at the moment is the wonderful Attingham Park near Shrewsbury.  Last Monday 15th March we walked around the estate in beautiful sunshine but biting winds.  The deer came very close, approx 30 yards, so that was a bonus but the real treat lay in the woods. Steady!  Carpets and carpets of snowdrops.  As far as you could see these tiny dainty plants were thriving in all their glory. What a spectacle they made. Also by the walled garden was another magnificnet display of these annual wonders.  A treat for everyone who braved the bitter cold.

I use Firefox with BTYahoo without any problems. It also means you can get rid of all those unwanted menu bars which BT seem to think will enhance your browsing experience Embarrassed

In the unlikely event of any problems, the BT version of Internet Explorer will still be on your computer, so you can always switch back.  Firefox also has a facility to import your address book from IE.
